Here is Gaz pointing at Pete and saying "Isn't Pete's trendy red cap the bees knees - I want one just like it - perhaps we can all get one to wear on future holidays so we stand out in the crowd".
More rain - this time in Paris - but we were not to worry - it didn't last long and the sun came out for the rest of the day when we were at Parc Asterix - see link on main photo page. The trip to Paris from Chamonix was not without its problems - we had an hour delay getting to Lyon due to a problem with a freight train on the line - so we missed our TGV reservation . Pete decided to get a normal locomotive to Paris instead but the journey involved a LOT of stops and it took 5 and a half hours to go from Lyon to Paris. We were all a bit cheesed off.
Gaz is saying goodbye here in the best Tommy Cooper impression he can manage - "Just like that!"
As we zoom along on a British train - not far from home, Pete is saying how much he has enjoyed the holiday and alas, it has come to an end - well, all good things must come to an end.
That rascal Gary took a photo of me and I didn't know anything about it - I was too busy checking to see of I had any messages on my mobile phone - nice one Gaz!
Outside Bristol Temple Meads railway station and the holiday is over - Gary's dad took one last photo of the gang before we went our separate ways.
